A thread for theFX militia headed byFX guru Distant Guys.

Membership criteria? easy - own one or more pedals / FX units / technical gegaws. and like pedals / FX / technical gegaws. Effects pedals that is - not bike pedals you picture posting wags!

Lets go pedal crazy - talk about our pedal farms, what we are searching for, share advice, post pictures of sexy little noise boxes...

my most recent purchase:

Digitech jamman

And i am currently looking out for...

Alesis Bitrman - for its horrible degraded ring modulator.

I have a lovely analogue overdrive pedal that sounds fab, but I have no use for it at the moment. I occasionally use it with my practice amp at home but I can't bring myself to get rid of it cos it sounds so good. Not sure what make it is or owt.

Live I stick to the Boss ME50 multi-fx that I bought from dontrussell, it's just easier cos it covers all bases in one go - even if the wah on it is a bit shit.

Merryn, you'd love this:

Handmade by a transvestite dude in LA, its got its own circuit when you can stick as many pedals as you like through it to feck up the sound in unlimited ways.... totally unpredictable, unmanagable, but amazing.... they even have a little inbuilt theramin pad thing for some hot modulation times.

Looks like hes done some other rather ace pedals too

He's not wrong, you know. Stick an OD box into the loop and you have an instant theremin.
