Working with local Visual Jockey's we shall be producing live feed visuals alongside the live music. The day will consist of local and national musicians over eight hours.

Ghosttown Promotions has been working voluntarily over the last year at various venues across the city to help regenerate the live music scene. After holding experimental music nights 'Soundscape' at The Tin Angel, Spon Street monthly since May last year; We are now coming to our first year anniversary and so believe that we should stage a larger scale event that explores and appreciates an array of music genres.

Line up

Robert Logan

"having already contributed to Grace Jones' new album (this) teenagers thoughts (and music) is pretty black plunging in sombre arcs from all angles...verstaile and imaginative, Logan is a prodigy." (The Wire)
Cognessence "is deep in every sense, enveloping listeners and drawing them into a strange and introverted journey" 4 stars- Ben Osbourne (DJ Magazine)

Bass Clef

The dubstep it is risen of racially mixed and dark hybrid of the many currents that have crossed the English scene electronic in last the ten years: it drowns to you in a heavy one coltre of dub, in dubstep scalciano the ritmiche sincopate of the 2 step, slide the low ones submergeeed of the drum' n' bass and explode the loop of the breakbeat. The sound is dirty, lugubre, the groove nearly imballabile.
"It takes the sonic palette, the menace and some of the rhythms of grime, and applies to them production techniques learnt from dub and abstract techno...though the bass could probably rupture an internal organ, the groove and the hooks are ultimately so irresistible, you'd still keep moving if it did." INDEPENDANT ON SUNDAY

Misterlee Vs Bruce Coates

"Pin(s).. you to the wall with giant lo-fi beats only to turn on a sixpence and absorb in unsettling almost-silence, with lyrical snapshots of the human condition" Misterlee is NOT a lifestyle sandwich.
Coates (Duns Editions and Octagonal Records) is free jazz improviser Saxophonist from Birmingham he has gained quite a reputation on the improv circuit; Feat regularly as part of the Birmingham Improvisors Orchestra (BIO). At Sonic Boom! expect to see the clashing of titans where Misterlee and Bruce Coates will be bringing you the ultimate improv battle off. Unique...I think so.

"free improvisation, sub-aquatic observations of dub, jazz, afro-beat, krautrock and electronica."

Dragon Or Emperor

"a bass and drums punk/jazz/metal powerhouse, with a spontaneous feel that frequently threatens to spill over into hysteria" (The Wire)

Coventry based drum and bass act consisting of some of top Cov scenesters Si Hayden, Paul Johnson and Wayne Matthews. 91db have been together for a few years with a handleful of shows under their belt. They're debut EP is soon to be out with a short UK Tour to follow. Be warned this will blow you away.

Paris and his Salon (feat. Si Hayden)

"progressive neo-brechtian ambient jazz fusion for people who hate jazz and/or love life"

Nick Hudson

After encountering the works of Jandek Hudson (Brighton based) opted to launch himself into a rigorous regime of writing/recording and outlined what would eventually manifest as The Phoenix Diaries - his seven-album cycle on transformative, restorative themes. The first of these, Home and Deranged, was born between October 2004 and January 2005, and was a raw, tender, desolate statement of the impotence and isolation he felt whilst living back home.

James Kelly

minimalist turntablist with a passion for jamming with people from hip hop to 40 piece orchestral set ups.
