Hello there,

I’m a sound engineer in my second year of training at Leicester College. At the moment I’m 17 and I’m living in a smallish village a few miles outside of Leicester. I work part time as a receptionist at a local rehearsal studio in Leicester called Stayfree Music.

At college I’ve learnt various principals behind recording and mixings setting up and operating live sound; the science of acoustics; basic electronics and also about the way the music industry works. In the first year of my course I became confident with Logic Pro and I’m currently getting to grips with Pro Tools. I’ve had experience of recording outside of college with my own band and I’ve been behind the scenes in live production environments several times.

Outside of all this, believe it or not I have a life! It too is heavily involved in music though. I play lead guitar in an up and coming local band called White Ashes. I’m also attempting to teach myself the piano having been influenced by a band called Air Traffic.
