Evangeline are an acoustic duo, made up of songwriter & lead singer Ian Babington and lead guitarist/harmony vocalist Pete Raj. The guys started gigging together in 1995 (15 years ago - ouch!) and have released two EPs in that time, as well as gigging widely across the Midlands. Outside of the duo, Ian has recorded and released two solo albums & gigged as support to Ian McNabb (Icicle Works) and Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), whilst Pete was busy and successful as lead guitarist in Syston band The Mile.

With 2010 being their 15th anniversary, the lads are back out there gigging again, writing new material, reworking old favourites, and looking to release a first full album before the year is out - studio time is booked in August. They also - under the name Walrus Gumboot host acoustic gigs to raise funds for charity (Donor Family Network), both in the downstairs bar at the Shed and most recently outdoors at Sumo.
