Sorry for the detailed information!
At a young age Craig A.Plant has always had an interest in music. From picking up the guitar at a young age it has been by his side ever since. From working his way up from Acoustic to Electric he has picked up a various amount of genres such as Blues/Jazz/Rock/Country/Funk and so on.
When he picked up the guitar he first started of by learning from books and videos on Youtube. As he got a bit older he started getting lessons from Pete Martin and still now keep in touch. Craig gained more knowledge and skills when being taught by Pete.
By age 14 Craig was already in various bands but never got anywhere out of Leicester. As he got older his interest in music grew and was determined to learn more not just about the instrument but also the music theory. By 17 Craig joined Loughborough College to do BND Music In Performance Level.3. This 2 year course taught Craig a lot of Theory and more skills behind the fretboard and other instrument such as Bass. Drums and Piano/Keyboard.
During this age, Craig was in a band called Saving Hollywood, this band went on from gigging round Leicester to Recording an E.P at 'The Parlour Studio in Kettering, Northampton. This experience gave Craig knowledge on what works In the studio environment.
Writing music has always been an interest for Craig, as he likes not just covering a wide variety of music, but creating new and fresh idea's.
Craig has also been involved in a award winning Leicester band known as 'Purple Circle's. The original guitarist of the band is know other than his old guitar teacher Pete Martin.
Craig stepped in for the band when Pete wasn't able to make the gig due to other dates with other bands. So having to learn set-list's in short time and without a practise was yet again another new experience.
Craig graduated from Loughborough in 2012 finishing the FDA (Higher education) Music performance & Production course Level 4.
With always willing to try out new ideas and experiences within Music, Craig has remained determined to achieve his goal as either working in the Musical Theatre or becoming a full-time guitar teacher.
Craig is available when a band is in need of another guitarist for gigs or step in for studio recordings, and of course teaching around Leicester.
Craig has knowledge of Music Theory and so therefore adapts what he knows into his teaching methods.
