Summer Sundae Fringe Fesitval - Mercury Review
Fri 14th August, 2009 by Summer Sundae Fringe Festival
So we made page 5 of the Mercury today http://bit.ly/pFktk with a glowing review of the Fringe Festival which reached its conclusion last night.
Hopefully it goes to show that Leicester has a thriving live music scene and their article printed on Thursday was most unfounded, unneccessary and unhelpful. Anyway enough of the politics.
Thanks to everyone who made Fringe Thursday last night the best we have ever done. Thanks to all the venues, their very hard working staff, all the musicians, comedians, poets, spoken wordists that put on great shows across the city. Thanks to De Montfort Hall and Coda who give us the permission to to this every year and our sponsors who help us with our set up costs meaning that alot more money can go to LOROS.
On the subject of LOROS we really hope we made our target £8,000 but will not know until we have got all the takings in so we will let you know the total when we have it.
If you took photos last night please upload them to our Flickr group 'Summer Sundae Fringe Festival' and tag them with 2009. They will then appear on the website for all to enjoy.
A few months off now before we begin the planning for the Fringe 2010.
Thanks Again
Steve, Andy, Sean & Vicky.
