'Expander' is their take on a 'tone' control, I think. The Fuzz War is up to DBA's usual high standards of complete insanity - even with both knobs fully down it sounds huge. It's 'Tone' control could quite easily be re-labelled 'Ice Pick' or 'Broken Glass', such is the high-pitch shredness it kicks out. I don't think anyone would have any trouble 'cutting through the mix' in a live situation, put it that way. 'Fuzz' is simply 'Loud', of course. Records really well, too. I've used it straight into a computer and it sounds great, which is always nice from a high-gain box. Everything sounded nice and tight from the off - there was no loss of clarity or punch, nor was there any uncontrollable feedback (unless needed!).

'New Pedal-gasm' taken into account, the Black Cat is one hot pussy.

I've left that post up for a bit, now and it doesn't look any better. Sorry.
