Power Ups! Posts: 29463	Okies - most of you will be aware I suffered a horrible death of DAW scenario in Prag8. Got a little bit of time on my hands today and sat down to try and figure out the Kristal DAW i downloaded (its free - a little fiddly but good actually) and decided to ressurect the Prag8 Submission as promised. Basically - I tried to keep it in the spirit of the prag - minimal cut / copy / splice etc...this is the result -1 acoustic recorded through an ambient mic and a interface (with boss bd2 lined in) and vox recorded into a mini disc player via a condenser mic. I then played the MD back into the daw and sequenced x2 over the guitar. this was done in about 3 takes, ad libbing vox lyrics from red's submission.... all live (for me - an unusual experience. and a tough one). I struggled to get the vox right so the sharper eared amongst you will hear where I have had to fade in and out with noise gate / track fade to stop the hiss of the 2 tracks that are amped up stupidly loud. sounds quite demo-y but I like the scratchy jangly guitars. so, err, yeah - the first new coopah material for literally years. http://soundcloud.com/power-ups/fuck-you-were-all-spacemen-now

I was expecting something spacious and epic (given the title) , this is busier and more intense. well done on freestyle adlibbing the lyrics... works well when you really got on top of it round about 2'20". There's lots of 'melodic slogan' lines in this that could be the jumping off point for songs in their own right. Since you didn't use it, can I use the "Imagine living in Peach Melba Skybase" line for a DG vs Sobchak Sports Casual collabo? I already have a killer melody / chorus for it.
