I think that it should be the same as the last one, but everyone else writes each others lyrics. IE - everyone gets 2 weeks to write lyrics on a particular theme, they get submitted, then get assigned at RANDOM to everyone else and everyone else has to write the music for everyone elses lyrics. Or Vice Versa. That could be interesting.

Been done... that was PRAG 5.

You are only allowed 4 tracks on your song - and no bouncing.

Or/And - you have to record each track in only one take.

Or, everyone gives a loop and that loop must be the foundation of the track. Preferably a break and everyone has to do a rap.

Everyone is provided with a bit of video footage and has to write their song based on that. And will be punished if it sounds like all their other songs.

I don't think we should take this forcing genre on to people too far.

If I got jazz, for example I'd be out.

Thanks!

But I'd fail on Jazz for many reasons: technique, knowledge, but mainly apathy - I do not do the J word.

Sorry to poo poo again, but this wouldn't work for me.

I'm not in Leicestershire. I do not have the know-how to pursueon-line collaborations.

PRAG enables me to still be involved in music without having to get out of my chair.

But if I emailed you a WAV of my Drums, you can still record your vocals, and still sit in your chair.

How about touching tributes to dead celebrities?

Edit: Or an all acoustic album? Percussion made from household objects and the like?

Thinking about it, I'm throwing out these ideas, but I probably won't be taking part in the next one, so it's lucky that my ideas won't be used.

Yes, we could all add a few each into a hat or something like that.

My idea for PRAG 7 would be along the lines of a tribute to the King of Pineapster (Goats on Boxes) where everyone writes a song under the general theme or title, 'He Touched Me With His Hoof.'

Imagine a whole album of songs about hooves, religion, goats, etc?

I already discussed this with Red Riviera a month ago when his Royal Caprus was at large on the internetz so would be good to do this one.

Think I might have said this before but I'd quite like to see a Leicester-centric PRAG where everyone writes a song about a place/thing in the city.

Or how about everyone submits a description of a song which doesn't give away what the song is (something like "Half-man, half-poodle interrupts twat by wanking for at least 6 years" - November Rain by GnR). These get divvied up and people have to write a song which sound like the description. Then at the end everyone finds out what song they were trying to write. Cue hilarity!

Basically if you need to kill a rabbit population then play a myxolydian, if you want to stop Moses leading the slaves to freedom then play a Phrygian.

Rabbits = myxolydian

Moses = Phrygian

Easy!
