I think it might be time to do another Stench event. What do people think? Perhaps something for April at the Independent Arts Centre? Any ideas for artists?

Definite yes form me for another event.

James Kelly is always a favourite. Plus I'd be very interested in playing, solo or as the digital dope collaboration that I've done before.

Aeoplane Dope does some amazing live sets too!

I know this is much help but I always find anything you put on always pleases

Janek Shaefer was amazing in cov and I can never get enough modulate (but that sound just like the coventry gig a bit unoriginal!!!). Surely biscuit tin sound system must be forced to play between sets. and James Kelly and asmo

But heres an idea! Like most people who make electronic music as a hobby I never have enough time to do as much as I want to life gets in the way, (I have been trying to get started with Live since october and getting no where fast !! )Could some of the local artists offer workshops showing how they work?

I did a Dirty Electronics workshop/performance at supersonic last year it was great how about something along those lines (not necessarily building like the DEE but circuit bending or colaborating on something ??)

Also opportunities for us home musicisn to bring in and play some cdr's for comment from others

Good ideas all, I'm there. In some capacity.

I like the idea of a workshop during the day. Are people happy with using the Independent Arts Centre on Humberstone Gate as the venue? The good thing about this space is that they have an area that can be used for workshops upstairs.

OK. I'm thinking about an early April event with local artist playing in the evening and workshops during the day. Probably at the Art Org in Leicester. I'll get back with some possible dates.

Would be good to showcase mostly local talent at the next Stench, I'm happy to do an electronics workshop, Atari Fuzz Console, maybe with a short performance involving the workshop participants. I have a 10 minute piece composed for the Fuzz Console which is quite easy to learn ( if you have a good sense of rhythm :), the Dirty Electronics Ensemble performed it at the MTIRC Christmas concert. We're in New York for the Bent Festival 19th to 27th April so can't do anything then. Sat 10th is ideal for me.

Sounds good. Yes, I think this one should be local artists only. Shall we go for the 10th April then?

Francis explained the concept of Peata Out to me and, yeah, I'd really like to see that happen! So they'd get my vote! Never tire of James Kelly either. Think the workshop idea is also fantastic.

How might one go about applying to perform? I have a 6 min mix of what I can do live I can submit. Might be repetitive shite but feedback would be nice.

Can prob to 20 to 30mins total.

I'm certainly about during April for some projection shenanigans, possibly putting the new mapping softs through their paces too (for a more unusual VJ performance).

At least I can rely on one of them.

We definitely want to go for local artists in this one. I'll put you both on the list. I'm in Istanbul at the moment and will start getting the artist lists together when I get back. Any more interested in playing?

Due to a clash with another event, we will have to hold the next Stench on Friday 9th April not on the Saturday. This means that we won't be able to hold a workshop during the day, however, I am going to suggest we hold a bit of a 'show and tell' gathering early on the night so that people can meet each other and talk about work. How does this sound?
