Power Ups! Posts: 27585	I'm pimpin this shit! Glynfest presents Run, WALK - holy roar (yup - the hip lable) hip duo... virtual foetus' play Lightening Bolt / Death from above with more punk edge. A hot ticket? you betcha. expect this band to sell many limited edition 7" etc... its THAT kind of deal yo! No Coast - 100% balls to the wall ROCKING hardcore, in your fucking face attitude (not gay as fuck metallica attitude - proper attitude that you hear in the drums). expect this band to make sounds that bring to mind "struggling on the streets of an urban jungle" - you catch my drift, Homes? Roused to burning homes - dark, retrogressive, fuzzed up, heavy noise rock. You want riffs? They got em. Expect this band to over utilise reverb and underutilise restraint. Lock 42 (just a shortish walk from the city folks!) £5 adv 6£ door tax - starts about 8.30 I reckon. Now - listen up people - of late glynfests have featured some TRULY special bands (Liberation Pact, Cheap Jazz, Kill Chaos) playing to very small turnouts. No coast - fabulous blistering hardcore - musically intense as fuck - sadly played full set with backs to audience (some sort of modern hardcore affectation that I could really live without) run WALK - awesome bass drum combo. LOUD and in places brutal with moments of utterly twisted genius. Props to glyn - great lineup and he managed to draw a decent crowd despite the snow. for the rest of you - I hope top gear was good.

Jabba Ranks Posts: 187	This wa a great gig - am going to share Merv's misgivings about the 'backs turned' thing - something to do with my age maybe but the whole point of HC shows to me is that it is a shared experience with everyone piling in, getting on the mic, etc and not facing up to da kids/da scene detracts a bit from that. Great band though - tight as, and vey very rocking. run WALK! were groovy - liked the crazy sounds the dude was conjuring from his bass. RTBH were awesome, but you already knew that
