Anyone know of a good firewire mixer that works with vista? i have a multimix 12 channel fw - which worked well with xp.... but doesn't seem to agree with my vista laptop. grr.

i've installed/re-installed various updates for the mixerr..... none work. my computer detects the device ok, but when i try to record using acid pro i get the following error: "alesis multimix does not support the current sample rate".... i try changing the sample rate to no avail!

i think i've found where the problem lies.... alesis reccomend that the mixer should be used with specific firewire cards.... i think the integrated firewire port on my laptop doesnt agree with the mixer. so, i'll probably have to invest in a pcmia firewire card.
